Enjoy some proper drinking fun on the Otley Run!

Tradition dictates that the Run begins in Woodies Ale House in Far Headingley, the perfect place for a quality pint on a sunny day. Moving on, you've got the student friendly Three Horseshoes (great for a quick snack) and The New Inn before you go into Headingley itself where there are six more pubs to hit. Ranging from traditional pubs like the Taps, The Skyrack and The Original Oak, to modern venues like The Arc, The Box and Citrus Bar. It's a vibrant part of town and you can soon see why it's also so popular.
A quick stop at The Hyde Park and you'll be on your way to the Woodhouse Lane area for your next set of stops. The Library is normally the first stop, but there's no time for reading here as you'll soon be weaving your way to The Packhorse, The Eldon, The Fenton and the very different Strawberry Fields. Be prepared to try out something other than the usual pint if the staff find out that you're doing the Otley Run, because they do like to challenge you hardcore drinkers! Last of all for Woodhouse Lane you'll head down to The Dry Dock. This is where you may really start to feel the drink hit home, but actually, it's not just a figment of your drink-addled brain - it really is a boat!
Once you're done there, it's time for the final stop of the tour. No, it's not your bed (much as you may be dreaming of it by now!) but the fine surroundings of Leeds Metropolitan University's good old Met Bar. From here on in you can relax, safe in the knowledge that there's no more wandering, or stumbling, around to do. Just settle in for an evening with your fellow Otley Runners and celebrate the fact that you've survived. After all, not everyone who attempts it can say that!
